Description:

THINKER finds himself stuck in the Tree of Knowledge. He sits cross-legged in blank meditative pose, trying to think his way to the Self. The wicked horns of Bara Deval, and the goat horns of the Devil, are now transformed into Saturn's negative rings of time, weighing down the THINKER. He himself is bound by the chains wound around his head, tugged at one end by man and woman, and at the other by a bleeding heart. He fully knows the choices between good and evil, but he doesn't know how to overcome them. Instead, they give him a splitting headache. If he didn't sit and think about them, the chains might drop and leave him free to descent from the tree.

Interpreted use:

Through acknowledging both good and evil, the duality becomes complimentary. Don't take your time. Respond at once to the action of your heart.

Reversed (card received upside down):

In the Aquarian Age, there is no outer Devil to tempt you. It is only your own inner THINKER which enslaves you.
